Notice to Schools 2/2017 − 1 February 2017

On Demand Testing – Victorian Curriculum F−10 Upgrade (Build 98)

Principals/Directors, School Technicians and On Demand Coordinators

Main Points

The On Demand assessment program has been updated to align to the Victorian Curriculum F–10. This upgrade will not impact functionality of the On Demand application; however, a minor update is required by all schools in order to access the realigned On Demand tests.

It is strongly recommended that schools upgrade their On Demand program before testing commences in 2017.

The upgrade will be available in the week commencing Monday 6 February. For information about this upgrade see On Demand Testing Build 98 release details (pdf - 99.35kb).

Professional development webinar sessions for On Demand users are planned for early 2017. These sessions will explore the composition of On Demand tests and what curriculum coverage is offered by the tests. Interpreting and using On Demand students’ reports and scores will also be covered in these sessions. Further details will be published on the VCAA website in Term 1, 2017.

Action Required

Principals/Directors should:

  • notify technicians and teachers who use the On Demand assessment program to install the update for the Victorian Curriculum before commencing testing in 2017.
