Top Class Sound 2017

Principals/Directors, VCE Coordinators and Teachers of VCE Music Investigation, VCE Music Style and Composition and VET Music

Main Points

The VCAA invites students, teachers and families to attend Top Class Sound 2017.

Top Class Sound is a remarkable program of original compositions by students of VCE Music Investigation, VCE Music Style and Composition and VCE VET Music from 2016.

The concert will be held at 1.30pm on Friday 24 February at Melba Hall, University of Melbourne.

With dynamic forms and instrumentation, including classical chamber ensembles, a brass band and jazz bands, Top Class Sound is a unique opportunity to hear inspiring works by Victoria’s next generation of young composers. For some students, this event will mark their debut, with their compositions being performed before an audience for the first time.

Top Class Sound is a great educational resource for Victorian students, providing insight into a variety of musical styles and compositions.

Tickets are $13.60 and can be booked through eventbrite.com.au  or at the venue on the day of concert.

Tickets are selling fast and bookings are recommended. Door sales will be subject to availability.
