Professional development for newly appointed VASS users
Principals/Directors, VASS Administrators, VCE Coordinators and VCAL Coordinators
The VCAA will be conducting professional development for newly appointed VASS Administrators on Monday 14 August and Tuesday 15 August 2017. More sessions may be organised if there is demand.
New users can attend either a morning session (9.00am−12.00pm) or an afternoon session (1.30pm−4.00pm).
The sessions will cover all aspects of VASS data entry for the remainder of the 2017 school year, and focus on enrolments for VCE, VET, VCAL and the entry of results.
It will be computer-based ‘hands-on’ training with a short break for morning and afternoon tea. It is not necessary to bring a laptop computer. Sign-in registration will commence at 8.45am for the morning session and 1.15pm for the afternoon session .

Both sessions will be conducted at the VCAA Assessment Centre, 189 Urquhart Street, Coburg (refer to the map in the online registration form or Melways map reference 18 A12. Enter via Alva Grove off Bell Street).

Monday 14 and Tuesday 15 August 2017
Note that full day training sessions for new VASS administrators will be held in December 2017 and February/March 2018. Schools will be notified of dates and venues later in the year.
Registration is limited to one registration per school and a maximum of two participants per school registration.
One training computer is provided for each school, although it may be necessary for single participants from two schools to share a computer.
There will be no provision for reimbursement of travel and accommodation expenses or for the funding of staff replacement.
