The VEYLDF emphasises the importance of supporting children’s and families’ transitions as they move within and across services and into school throughout the early years period.
This illustrative mapping is designed to support continuity of learning for children by providing specific links between curriculum content from the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework to the AusVELS (Australian Curriculum in Victoria).
These online illustrative maps can be used to support early childhood professionals and teachers to design experiences and opportunities that link the VEYLDF Learning and Development Outcomes to the AusVELS in the early years of school. Teachers are able to see the learning that children bring as described in the VELYDF and plan to build on that learning and development.
