VCE Season of Excellence 2017
The VCE Season of Excellence presents works created by VCE students in design, technology, multimedia and the cinematic, visual and performing arts through exhibitions, screenings and performances supported by education talks, forums and panel discussions, catalogues, programs and online material.
2017 Application forms
Hard-copy applications are now open for
Top Designs/Top Screen and
Top Class Sound.
For 2017, the VCAA will also be trialling online applications for some subjects. Online applications will be available here from Friday 2 September 2016 for the subjects selected. If you wish to find out what will be required to apply online, please refer to the forms below as the requirements will be the same.
Note: Both hard-copy and online applications are acceptable for Top Designs, Top Screen and Top Class Sound.
All applications are due by Thursday 13 October 2016, except for VCE VET Interactive Digital Media applications, which are due by Wednesday 9 November 2016.

Note: Students who have composed works for Music Style and Composition are not required to submit an application. Works will be selected via the Externally-assessed Task. The VCAA will then contact the student to confirm that a high quality live performance of the work can be organised.
For Top Arts 2017 the NGV will be accepting online applications only. A link to online applications will be available here from Friday 2 September 2016.
You will be required to submit details and images/samples of your work, evidence of copyright clearance (if applicable) and a copy of your completed and signed Authentication Record Form.
All applications for Top Arts will be due by Thursday 13 October 2016.

For information about copyright requirements for Top Designs, Top Arts and Top Screen please refer to our
guidelines (docx - 91.74kb). Please note that these guidelines relate to the public display of your work. Students submitting works containing non-original materials will need to comply with strict copyright and legal requirements for the public exhibition of their work; this is different to the extent of copyright compliance required just for assessment purposes.
Expressions of interest: VCE Media Selection Panel for Top Designs/Top Screen
Expressions of interest are sought for current VCE Media teachers to join the selection panel for Top Designs and Top Screen.
Please print and complete the
expression of interest form (pdf - 69.89kb), scan and return by Friday 2 September 2016. Submission details are included within the form.

Copyright requirements for making applications to Top Designs, Top Screen and Top Arts
Students are advised that if they wish to submit work to VCE Season of Excellence events they should be aware of the copyright requirements covering work submitted.
