VCE Examination Timetable

 

2014 VCE written examinations and GAT

Starting times

Each examination commences with a 15-minute reading period, except some October Languages examinations where the reading time is 10 minutes and Classical Greek and Classical Hebrew examinations which commence with a 5-minute reading period.

The reading period is included in the times shown in the timetable.

Students should check the starting time of each examination and arrive at least 30 minutes before this time.

Students should familiarise themselves with rules about late admission to examinations.

Examination responses

All written responses must be in English, unless otherwise instructed in the question book for that particular examination.

2014 General Achievement Test (GAT)

The 2014 General Achievement Test (GAT) will be conducted on Wednesday 11 June from 10.00 am to 1.15 pm.

The GAT brochure contains information for students outlining why it's important to sit the GAT; how it is used; and the structure and conditions of the test. 


2014 Extended Investigation: Critical Thinking Test

The 2014 Extended Investigation: Critical Thinking test will be conducted on Wednesday 6 August from 10.00 am to 11.10 am.

2014 Performance and Languages Oral examinations and the Extended Investigation: Oral presentation

This period for these assessments is from Monday 6 October to Sunday 2 November.

In some cases, students in regional and rural areas will be required to attend venues in Melbourne.

Students presenting for performance examinations, Languages examinations: oral component or the Extended Investigation oral presentation will be issued with individual advice slips.

These slips along with further information will be made available to schools from Monday 4 August.

Advice slips advise students of the date, time and location of their assessment.

Students are required to produce Photo Identification and their advice slips prior to entry to their assessment.
