VCE VET Applied Fashion Design and Technology

The VCE VET Applied Fashion Design and Technology program is drawn from a national training package and offers a portable qualification which is recognised throughout Australia. This qualification provides students with a broad range of knowledge and skills to pursue a career or further training in the fashion industry.

Qualifications

The following qualification is available in the VCE VET Applied Fashion Design and Technology program:

  • MST20616 Certificate II in Applied Fashion Design and Technology: provides an introductory overview of skills applied in the fashion industry. It includes skills used in the design and production of garments and millinery.

Credit in the VCE or VCAL

  • MST20616 Certificate II in Applied Fashion Design and Technology:: recogntion of four units at Units 1 and 2 level, and a Units 3 and 4 sequence.

Note: The Units 3 and 4 sequence of VCE VET Applied Fashion Design and Technology is not designed as a stand-alone study. Students are strongly advised against undertaking the Units 3 and 4 sequence without first completing Units 1 and 2.

ATAR Contribution

Students who receive a Units 3 and 4 sequence for VCE VET Applied Fashion Design and Technology will be eligible for an increment towards their ATAR (10% of the average of the primary four scaled studies).

The increment is awarded by the Victorian Tertiary Admissions Centre (VTAC). Further information can be found on the VTAC website: www.vtac.edu.au

The VCE VET Applied Fashion Design and Technology program does not offer scored assessment.
