Who We Are

The Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority (VCAA) has been established to:

• develop curriculum for all Victorian schools
• develop and implement the Early Learning and Development Framework
• assess student learning and monitor student achievement
• conduct research leading to innovative educational programs.

We are a statutory authority that reports directly to the Victorian Minister for Education through the VCAA Board.

What We Do

We provide high quality curriculum and assessment programs for all students in Victoria.

Senior secondary programs are the:

• Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE)
• Victorian Certificate of Applied Learning (VCAL) .

In Years Prep to Year 10 we provide the:

• Victorian Essential Learning Standards (VELS)
• Curriculum and Standards Framework (CSF)
• National Assessment Program - Literacy and Numeracy Testing (NAPLAN) 
• Early Learning and Development Framework 0–8 (ELDF 0–8).

We also celebrate student achievement through our excellence and awards programs.
