The Information Services Unit is responsible for the VCAA general enquiry service and the Post-Results Enquiry Service (PRES). The unit also assists with the VCE Season of Excellence and produces events and publications for the VCAA.

Season of Excellence
The VCE Season of Excellence presents exemplary work by VCE students undertaking visual, media and performing arts studies in their VCE years. The studies are: Dance, Dance Styles, Drama, Music, Theatre Studies, Media, Technology, Visual Communication and Design, Art, Studio Art.
Production
The Production Unit manages provision of editorial, design, desktop publishing, printing and distribution.
Key projects include:
- provision and coordination of desktop publishing and preparation for print of curriculum materials
- delivery of regular Authority publications, including the VCE Bulletin and the VCE & VCAL Administrative Handbook, and Where To Now?
- publishing VCE and VET material, including revised VCE Study Designs, the Implementation Resource Kit and the revised VCE support material
- enhancement of the Authority's image through an array of promotional material
- increasing usage of advances in digital publishing processing and multimedia production.
The Information Technology Group is responsible for:
Managing and developing infrastructure, customised applications and the website, provides school support, as well as looking after records in order to support high quality Assessment, Corporate and Curriculum programs.
This includes:
- Software development and support for new and existing specialised software applications;
- Providing assistance to all Victorian schools by providing training programs to administer VCE, VCAL and VET student enrolments, final results and On Demand;
- Provide data analysis assistance to staff across organisation;
- IT infrastructure Management, which provides a secure, stable and up to date environment, capable of fully supporting the business needs. Ensuring disaster recovery plans are in place and working to ensure minimal disruption to business processing.
- Maintenance and development of the internal and external facing VCAA web sites. This includes assisting Division and Unit Managers in the planning and implementation of online content in accordance with VCAA, DEECD and Whole of Government Polices and Standards;
- Records Management.
Web Unit
The Web Unit provides quality online services to each of the key VCAA operational areas in order to improve information exchange between the VCAA and schools, teachers, students, businesses and communities.
