VASS New Users Professional Development January - February 2008

The VCAA will be conducting VASS New Users Professional Development training during late January and February 2008.

This training is designed specifically for new VASS Administrators. This includes new schools offering a VCE, VET or VCAL program for the first time.

NOTE: These training programs are not for Single Study Language Providers. Special training for Single Study Language Providers will be offered in late March 2008. An expression of Interest form will be forwarded to those schools in February 2008.

Metropolitan training sessions will be conducted at the VCAA Assessment Centre, 189 Urquhart Street , Coburg (Melways map reference 17 H12).
All training sessions in metropolitan and regional venues are subject to demand.
All sessions will be computer based ‘hands on’ training and run from 9am to 4pm with 30 minutes for lunch. It is not necessary to bring a laptop computer. Registration will commence at 8.30am. A light lunch will be provided.
Allocation to the sessions is on a first come first served basis. First preferences will be allocated wherever possible, subject to availability.
As places are very limited, schools are advised to return the attached Registration Form to Ms Margaret Andersson, Administrative Support Unit, by fax or email as soon as possible but no later than Monday 10 December 2007.
There will be no provision for reimbursement of travel and accommodation expenses or for the funding of staff replacement.
