Schools were advised in November 2005 via the VCAA Bulletin of the phased implementation of the reaccredited VCE Chemistry Study Design .
In 2007 the reaccredited VCE Chemistry Study Design (2007–2011) is to be used for Units 1 and 2 only. The study design is distinguishable by the orange cover which features student work from Top Arts.
For Units 3 and 4 in 2007, teachers should continue to use the study design accredited from 2000 by the Board of Studies.
Principals are requested to certify that this information has been communicated to all VCE Chemistry teachers at their school. Schools with enrolments in Units 1 to 4 Chemistry who do not respond to this message will be contacted to confirm that the appropriate study designs are being used in 2007.
