VASS Release 8_13 - Changes to Student Assessment Timetables and the Performance/Oral Advice Slips

The modifications made in the VASS release v8_13 have affected the Student Assessment Timetables and the Performance/Oral Advice Slips.

1. STUDENT ASSESSMENT TIMETABLES

The Student Assessment Timetables ( STUDENT PROGRAM → VCE Reports → Student Assessment Timetables) have been amended to include the reminder, that students need to provide photo identification or be identified by a staff member of their home school upon entry to their written examinations.

The centres for the October/ November Written Examinations will be released on Monday 10 September.

2. PERFORMANCE / ORAL EXAMINATION ADVICE SLIPS

Two changes have been made to the Performance / Oral Examination Advice Slips ( STUDENT PROGRAM → VCE Reports → Performance / Oral Exam Advice Slips)

2.1 Student Advice Slips for Languages Other Than English (LOTE) oral contained an error pertaining to the time a student should present prior to the scheduled start of their examination.

Prior to this VASS release the Student Advice Slip version of the Performance/Oral Advice Slips instructed students to present 15 minutes before the starting time of their examination.

This statement, found at the bottom of the Student Advice Slip, has been amended to read:

Students must be present at least 30 minutes before the time set down for the examination.

VASS Administrators are advised that due to the changes made in this release, the Performance/Oral Advice Slips should be reprinted AND all students MUST be informed of the correct time for presentation at their designated examination centre.

For further information about the Advice slips refer to Memorandum 76/2007 - Performance/LOTE Oral Examination Advice Slips and Program Sheets for October 2007 Examinations. This memorandum was sent to schools on 10 August 2007. The advice slips have been available for download from VASS since Monday 13 August 2007.

2.2 In addition to the above change in time the Performance/ Oral Examination Advice Slips have been amended to reiterate the requirement of students to provide photo identification upon entry to their examination . The text ‘personal ID' has been changed to ‘photo ID' in the footer of the advice slip.
