VCE English/ESL Briefings – February/March 2008 – Additional Briefings

The following information follows the Memorandum to Schools sent by the VCAA on February 6 2008 regarding the briefings on the VCE English/ESL Study Design to support the implementation of Units 3 and 4 in 2008.

Due to a high level of interest the VCAA will be conducting additional briefings in the Eastern Metropolitan (Ringwood East), Western Metropolitan (Sunshine) and South Western (Warrnambool) regions.

The briefings of two hours duration are primarily for English Coordinators and teachers who are new to teaching Units 3 and 4 English.

The program covers all aspects of the Units 3 and 4 study and the sample examination.

Dates, times and locations for all briefings, including the additional locations, are shown below. Afternoon tea is provided. There is no cost for the briefings.

Schools not yet registered for any briefings are asked to complete and forward the attached registration form to Marion Barraclough at the VCE unit: barraclough.marion.m@edumail.vic.gov.au or by fax to (03) 9651 4533.

Up to two people from each school may register.

Schools already registered for a briefing who wish to change into a new briefing are asked to contact Marion Barraclough at the VCE unit: barraclough.marion.m@edumail.vic.gov.au or by telephone on (03) 9651 4453. Emailed requests should indicate the briefing currently registered for. Please note that change to registration requests cannot be accepted by fax. 

All new registrations and change of briefing requests must be received byFriday22 February.
