VCE Arts Performance examination / LOTE Oral assessment schedule survey
Dear Colleague
In preparing student timetables for Arts Performance examinations and LOTE oral assessments, all days within the specified examination period are considered for timetabling students. As a general rule, LOTE oral assessments, Drama, Theatre Studies, Dance and VET Dance performance examinations are scheduled on Monday – Friday. Music Performance: Group, VET Music and Music Performance: Solo performance examinations can be scheduled on all 7 days within a week.
To assist with the timetabling of students undertaking subjects with a performance examination or oral assessment, the Assessment Operations Unit of the Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority (VCAA) is seeking information identifying significant school-based functions, such as final year assemblies, to minimise any potential clash of events for students during the performance/oral examination period: Monday 6 October – Sunday 2 November.
Please note the date for the October LOTE (CCAFL) written examination in 2008 is Thursday 16th October.
In providing this information, no more than one day should be nominated as being unavailable for timetabling students. Please note students may be timetabled either side of this nominated day. A non response to this survey will be interpreted as unrestricted availability for the examination period
Your assistance in providing this information would be appreciated.
Please assist by:
- Completing the ‘School name’, ‘VCAA School code/number’
- Completing the Response Sheet identifying whether all dates are available or which significant date is not available and the reason for unavailability.
- Returning the Response Sheet from your school to:
