VCAA Plain English Speaking Award
Teachers are reminded that the deadline for entries to the 2008 VCAA Plain English Speaking Award is next Monday 14 April. We look forward to your students’ participation this year. The regional finals will take place across Victoria between 12 and 23 May.
To enter students in the Plain English Speaking Award you can either
- Fax completed entry forms to 9651 4550
Or
- Email completed entry forms to information.services.vcaa@edumail.vic.gov.au
Please also mail the form to the VCAA with the $50 entry fee.
This fee is GST free. It is a fee per school, not per student.
Host schools are exempt from the fee.
Make sure that you have completed every box on the form, particularly
- Your first and second choice of venue for regional final
- Your fax and/or email contact address
Following receipt of your entry form we will
- confirm your entry by email to inform you of the venue that your students should attend and
- send a receipt for your entry fee by mail (this may arrive after the date of your students’ regional final).

If teachers need more time to get their entry forms in for the VCAA Plain English Speaking Award, they can contact us with an estimated time. We need to complete the finals schedule and confirm details to schools well before Monday 12 May when the regional finals commence.
