Top Acts Program confirmed –VCE Season of Excellence

Teachers of VCE performing arts studies are advised that the program for Top Acts 2008 is attached. Top Acts will be presented on Friday 23 May at 7.30 pm, the Arts Centre, Hamer Hall.

The 26 Top Acts participants were selected from 150 performers in the eleven Top Class concerts held in March and April.

A new program was introduced this year: Top Class Sound, which presents original musical works composed by VCE students in a range of studies. A work from Top Class: Sound is included in Top Acts for the first time, involving the composer and five student musicians.

We encourage all VCE performing arts students to attend the concert which includes dramatic interpretations of Howard Arkley and Florence Broadbent, classical and contemporary music: piano, percussion, `cello, harp, piano, jazz and voice, contemporary dance works and monologues from plays by Daniel Keene and Joanna Murray-Smith.

Tickets are $16.60; $14.40 conc. and $10.10 groups of 10 or more.
