Post Year 12 Destination Data Publication — On Track

The Year 12 destination data, collected through the On Track 2008 Survey will be published in The Age and Herald Sun daily newspapers on Monday 16 June 2008, in alphabetical order including government and non government schools and other education providers. The 2008 survey shows an ongoing increase in student participation as measured by response rates.

The data will show the range of opportunities that students are taking up with the support of their education providers. The results will highlight the broad range of pathways available to young people including university, Vocational Education and Training with TAFE colleges or other providers, apprenticeships, traineeships, and employment.

Post Year 12 Destination data for your school will be available in VASS on Wednesday 11 June 2008. All data is provided in confidence to schools and embargoed from public release until Monday 16 June 2008.

VASS Administrators can download the file using the menu SYSTEM ADMIN → Downloads. In the Key Words box enter ON TRACK and click on the <Find> button. In the File Description box, select the file Post Year 12 Destination Data Publication 2007and click on the <Download> button. The file will open in .pdf format.

Notes to assist interpretation of the data are included in this memorandum. In addition, some commonly asked questions and answers about the On Track survey are also attached.
