Students With Three Examinations On One Day

The policy for students timetabled with three examinations on one day has changed in 2008. Previously students were permitted to elect to sit one of the examinations on the following morning. In order to enhance examination paper security and maintain the integrity of the VCE examination process, this option is no longer available.

The VCAA Board recognises the additional challenge that three examinations on one day presents to the small number of students affected and at its recent July meeting decided to offer 10 minutes per hour extra time in the final examination of the day for students who have three examinations on one day. This may be taken as extra writing time or as supervised rest breaks.

Further details regarding these arrangements will be sent to schools with affected students.
