Release and delivery of Parent Reports, National Assessment Program – Literacy and Numeracy (NAPLAN) 2008
There is a nationally agreed schedule for the release and delivery to schools of the NAPLAN 2008 Parent Reports. This is anticipated to take place in the week beginning Monday 15 September 2008.
It is also anticipated that School Reports (via the NAPLAN Data Service) and a preliminary National Report will be released during this time.
The VCAA is aware that some schools will already have commenced Term 3 holidays on 15 September. However, all schools are strongly encouraged to ensure that suitable personnel who can sign for, and take delivery of, the Parent Reports are available at the school during the week beginning 15 September.
Schools who will be unable to take delivery of the Parent Reports during the week beginning 15 September should contact the VCAA as soon as possible to make alternative arrangements. In these cases delivery will be rescheduled to the beginning of Term 4.

As 2008 is the first year of NAPLAN testing, parental interest in the results is very high and it is essential that Parent Reports are forwarded to parents as soon as possible after their arrival at the school.
