Briefings – VET And VCAL – November & December 2008

The VCAA and DEECD are conducting briefings on VET in Schools, VCAL and related matters in thirteen locations across the state during November and December. The following page provides details of locations and dates.

Schools are invited to send up to three representatives; it is recommended that VET and VCAL coordinators attend to ensure that the school has access to all program information for 2009.

These briefings will be conducted in the morning in metropolitan locations with morning tea provided and due to the later start times in regional locations lunch will be provided.

They will include an overview of:

VET in Schools for 2009, including new and revised VCE VET programs, scored assessment and School Based Apprenticeships.
VCAL update for 2009
2009 VET in Schools funding arrangements for Government Schools

Schools are asked to register attendees by Friday 31 October. Please ensure that all persons attending are registered so that numbers and catering needs can be confirmed.

Registration times for each location are provided on the attached schedule. An opportunity will be provided for questions and discussion and an information pack will be issued at the briefings.

In the event that fewer than 15 registrations are received for a briefing at a particular location, that briefing will be cancelled and registrants will be informed of alternative locations.

Registrations should be forwarded to the VCAA VET unit no later than FRIDAY 31 OCTOBER, 2008 by email: vcaavet.pdreg@edumail.vic.gov.au
