EXPRESSION OF INTEREST - VELS Graduate Teacher Forum

Following the success of the Graduate Teacher Forum held in January this year, the VCAA will be offering two forums for graduate teachers commencing their teaching career in 2010. The forums will be held in Melbourne on 2 December 2009 with a repeat program on 20 January 2010.

The forums will provide advice for graduate teachers on using the VELS in planning teaching, learning and assessment activities. The program will:

• include an overview of the resources to support the development of effective curriculum and assessment
• provide opportunities for participants to meet VCAA curriculum staff to ask questions and discuss practical teaching strategies
• facilitate the development of support networks with other graduate teachers

Principals are encouraged to bring these forums to the attention of any graduate teachers joining their staff in 2010.  There is no cost to participants attending one of the forums.

 

REGISTRATION FORM

Graduate teachers interested in participating should attend one forum only. Please indicate your availability for both the December and January forum days.

Registration is online at http://vels.vcaa.vic.edu.au/ 

Participation at the forums will be confirmed by email in November.
