Briefings: VET, VCE & VCAL – November/December 2009
The VCAA and DEECD are conducting briefings on VET, VCE, VCAL and related matters in thirteen locations across Victoria during November and December. The attached page provides details of locations and dates.
Schools are invited to send up to three representatives; it is recommended that VCE, VET and VCAL coordinators attend to ensure that the school has access to all program information for 2010.
In metropolitan locations, briefings will be conducted in the morning with morning tea provided. In regional locations, briefings will start later (see attached schedule) and lunch will be provided.
The briefings will cover:
- VCAL update for 2010
- VET for 2010, including revised VCE VET programs, scored assessment and School Based Apprenticeships
- VCE with a focus on school based assessment and quality assurance
- 2010 VET, VCAL Re-engagement and Community VCAL funding arrangements for Government Schools.
Schools are asked to register attendees by Friday 30 October. Please ensure that all persons attending are registered so that numbers and catering needs can be confirmed.
Registration times for each location are provided on the attached schedule. An opportunity will be provided for questions and discussion and an information pack will be issued at the briefings.
Registrations should be forwarded to the VCAA VET unit no later than Friday 30 October, 2009 by email: vcaavet.pdreg@edumail.vic.gov.au
Registration information must include:
- Attendee’s name and role in the school or organisation
- School/organisation name
- Contact phone number
- Email address
- Location attending
