Teachers are invited to bring student leaders to the 2009 VCE Achiever Award ceremony to hear some of Victoria’s most inspiring students.
The ceremony will celebrate the achievements of seven VCE students who have dedicated their VCE years to improving their school and community.
It is an excellent opportunity for current and future student leaders to hear from peers who are committed to complementing their academic pursuits with generous community involvement.
The ceremony will be attended by Bronwyn Pike MP, Minister for Education, who will also announce the overall VCE Achiever for 2009.
Student leaders will be motivated by a 2008 VCE Achiever and the seven finalists for 2009 who have demonstrated their leadership skills at school and in their community during their VCE years.
This year’s inspirational VCE Achievers include campaigners for racial harmony and human rights, advocates for the homeless and a fire fighter.
