1. ROLE OF THE VASS ADMINISTRATOR

The role of the VASS Administrator is typically one of data entry and works very closely with the VCE, VET and VCAL Coordinators in the school who are responsible for providing accurate and timely student enrolment and results data to the VASS Administrator in order to meet VCAA deadlines. The VASS Administrator is able to produce reports such as Student Full Details Reports, Class Lists for distribution to Coordinators.

The VASS Administrator should have well developed computing skills and be familiar with Microsoft Internet Explorer, Excel and Word and web based applications.  In addition they should have a good understanding of the VCE, VET and VCAL programs which comes with on the job training in the workplace.

It is strongly recommend that new VASS Administrators read the VCE, VET and VCAL Quick Guides for VASS Administrators which are available on the VCAA website http://www.vcaa.vic.edu.au/schooladmin/vass/usingvass.html#H3N10118   before coming to the training programs.
