VASS SET UP FOR 2010 VCE PROGRAMS

1. CHECKLIST OF IMPORTANT STEPS FOR 2010 ENROLMENTS

Schools should log on to VASS for the Year 2010

The ‘Checklist of important steps for VASS Administrators First Enrolment File 2010’ may be downloaded using the menu SYSTEM ADMIN → Downloads.  Enter the Key Word CHECKLIST

The Checklist is a very useful document as it sets out important steps, tips and advice to assist VASS Administrators prepare VCE, VET and VCAL Enrolment 1 data.  The VCE Quick Guide for VASS Administrators may also be downloaded.

1. VCE SET UP FOR 2010 ON VASS

Schools are now able to set up the 2010 VASS database for VCE enrolments.

Note. MA083 and MA084 Mathematical Methods 3 and 4 are no longer available. Mathematical Methods CAS Units 1 to 4 (MA111, MA112, MA113 and MA114) are available for 2010.

Schools should log on to VASS for the Year 2010 and select ONLY the VCE units they will be offering and assessing in 2010 using the menu SCHOOL PROGRAM →VCE→Select Units to be Offered.

2. SPECIAL NOTE FOR ASSESSING SCHOOLS

Assessing schools such as the VSL’s (Victorian Schools of Language) and LOTE Single Study Language Providers as Home schools will be unable to enrol their students into VCE Units at other Assessing schools.

3. VET AND VCAL SET UP FOR 2010 ON VASS

The 2010 VCAL and VET/VFE certificate data WILL NOT be available to schools until late January 2010 and schools will be informed accordingly.

 4.VASS BROWSER SETTINGS

The Internet Explorer settings for accessing VASS are available from the VCAA website via the following link. http://www.vcaa.vic.edu.au/schooladmin/vass/iesettings.html
