Schools are reminded that SIAR 1 for Studio Arts School-assessed Task 1 is due on MONDAY 15 JUNE 2009 (refer to pages 169 of the VCE and VCAL Administrative Handbook 2009).
The RESULTS ADMIN → VCE Reports → School Assessed Tasks/Coursework report can be used as the Input sheet prior to the entry of the task scores, a Summary sheet after entry of the task scores and a ‘missing results’ report. The report can be produced in either Unit code or Teacher Name order.
Results for Studio Arts School-assessed Task 1 are entered using the menu: RESULTS ADMIN → VCE Results Entry → School Assessed Tasks.
The three alternative results for a student in Studio Arts School-assessed Task 1 are: a score between 1 and 30 inclusive, a zero score or an NA.
Note. If the score is not yet available due to exceptional circumstances, the result should be left blank.
- A zero score should only be given where the work was submitted but did not score against the assessment criteria.
- NA should be given where the student has opted not to submit the assessment.
Schools should endeavour to enter all Studio Arts School-assessed Task 1 scores by Monday 15 June; however, where a score is not yet available the school must inform the Student Records and Results Unit in writing of the reason for the blank score and the expected date the score will be received by the VCAA. The Principal should sign the document, which should then be faxed to the Student Records and Results Unit. When the result becomes available a Score Amendment Sheet (RESULTS ADMIN → VCE Reports → Score Amendment Sheet) should be submitted.
The Score Amendment Sheet must be used to request a change for any results entered after the SIAR date – this includes blanks. Advice on this matter should be referred to the Student Records and Results Unit on 9651 4376.
Schools are advised that requests for score changes are subject to strict audit procedures and this may result in the school being included in the assessment review process.
To ensure that all the required scores have been entered, the RESULTS ADMIN → VCE Reports → School Assessed Tasks/Coursework report should be run with the Display Missing Results Only? parameter changed to [YES].
Unit 3 School assessed Coursework is due on Monday 27 July 2009. (refer to pages 169 of the VCE and VCAL Administrative Handbook 2009). A VCAA Memorandum to Schools will be sent to schools closer to this submission date.
