H1N1 Influenza (Human Swine Flu) and the June Examinations
All scheduled June VCE examinations and the General Achievement Test (GAT) will proceed.
The Department of Human Services has moved to a modified Sustain Phase of its plan to manage the impact of H1N1 Influenza in our community. For more information refer to http://humanswineflu.health.vic.gov.au/
In a Memorandum S280-2009 sent to government schools today, the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development (DEECD) has indicated that schools will no longer be quarantined and that schools that have been closed due to H1N1 Influenza are to reopen. A copy of that Memorandum is attached for your information.
VCE students who have been confirmed as having Human Swine Flu, or who are unwell next week with flu-like symptoms, should not attend their examination/s. Emergency Special Examination Arrangements and the Derived Examination Score (DES) can be available for the June examinations for affected students.
Schools which have been subject to extended closure have been contacted by the VCAA and appropriate arrangements have been implemented.
Schools will be informed immediately if the situation changes.

- Inform all VCE students that the June examinations will proceed.
