Withdrawal of THE KILLER by Eugene Ionesco from VCE Theatre Studies 2009 Unit 4 Playlist

The VCE Drama and Theatre Studies Playlist was published via Memorandum to Schools 120 in December 2008 and in the February 2009 VCAA Bulletin.

The playThe Killer by Eugene Ionesco was included in the Unit 4 Playlist for Theatre Studies.  The planned season of this play will not take place and consequently, the play is withdrawn from the VCE Unit 4 Theatre Studies Playlist.

Schools who had planned to study The Killer for Unit 4 Outcome 3 MUST now select one of the other plays on the Unit 4 Playlist:

    5th August – 22nd August. Season may be extended to 29th August.
  • Embers by Campion Decent

    Riverlinks Shepparton, The Drum Theatre Dandenong, The Capital Theatre Bendigo, The Clocktower Centre Moonee Ponds, The Arts Centre Warragul and Geelong Performing Arts Centre. 13-29 August
  • Happy Days by Samuel Beckett
    Merlyn Theatre @ The CUB Malthouse, 113 Sturt Street, Southbank
    Previews 3 – 7 July and Season 8 – 25 July
  • The Taming of the Shrew by William Shakespeare
    The Bell Shakespeare Company
    Touring to Arts Centre Mildura, Westside Performing Arts Centre Shepparton, The Capital Bendigo, Whitehorse Performing Arts Centre Nunawading, Drum Theatre Dandenong, West Gippsland Arts Centre Warragul, Wellington Entertainment Centre Sale, Frankston Arts Centre and Karralyka Centre Ringwood.
