Memorandum to Schools 75/2009

VCE Examinations Chief Supervisor Refresher Training
BACKGROUND
As part of the security arrangements for the conduct of VCE examinations, the VCAA conducts compulsory Refresher Training sessions for all Chief Supervisors every two years. The next round of Refresher Training sessions will be held in August 2009 at various locations around the state. Any school representative new to the position of Exam Centre Coordinator or VCE Coordinator is also strongly advised to attend one of these sessions.
NOTE: Anyone who has already attended one of the New Chief Supervisor Training sessions held in May 2009 does not need to attend a Refresher session in August or September 2009.
The training session locations and times are indicated on the attached registration form.
The Chief Supervisor will be paid an allowance of $55 for attendance. Funds for payment will be included in the grant sent to schools for the supervision of October/November examinations. No funding is available for any other attendee.
Applications for training sessions will be processed according to the date received and should indicate a first, second and third choice for their preferred session. While every effort will be made to accommodate a participant’s first choice, some may be allocated their second or third choice due to the number of requests for a particular session.
Your school representative and/or Chief Supervisor will be notified of their allocated session.
