Top Screen DVD available
Teachers are advised that the Top Screen 2009 DVD is available for sale. It has been produced as a joint project between the Curriculum and Season Units at the VCAA.
Top Screen was held at the Australian Centre for the Moving Image March to May and included 14 outstanding films by Media students in 2008. The film abstracts can be viewed at: www.vcaa.vic.edu.au/seasonofexcellence.html >

Watch as students create suspense and mystery in dramatic shorts such as Timmy, Examination, Broken Whispers, King of the Castle and Bye Bye Blackbird. Be charmed by the engaging animations Wishing, Creature Fear, Mango Tree and Bad Hare Days, while the two documentaries provide us informative insights into the new sporting craze called Skimboarding and the impressive occupational health and safety regulations of the well known store Big W.
The order form can also be downloaded from the Season webpage. The DVD costs $33. Purchase two for $55 (2005 or 2006), or three for $75 (2005, 2006 and 2009). Please note: Payment must accompany the order form/tax invoice.
The 2005 and 2006 compiles include interviews with the film makers and commentary by the selection panel. The 2009 compile does not include these features and there were no compiles in 2007 and 2008.
