VCE Performance / LOTE Oral Examination Advice Slips and Program Sheets
BACKGROUND
VCE Performance and LOTE Oral examinations are scheduled for October 2009. VCE Coordinators and teachers are reminded that the Student Performance and LOTE Oral Examination Advice Slips will be available for download from VASS as of MONDAY 10 AUGUST 2009.
This function allows for Advice Slips to be produced for: a single student, students undertaking a specific study and all students in all studies. It also allows for a Summary Report to be produced for administrative use in schools.
Performance Examination Program Sheets / Statements of Intention and Information Booklets for all 2009 Performance and LOTE Oral examinations will not be posted to schools. Instead, these documents are available for download from VASS.
Information regarding student identification requirements for LOTE Oral and Arts Performance Examinations in 2009 is also attached for your reference.
ACTION REQUIRED
- Schools are required to print Performance/Oral Examination Advice Slips and give to students as required.
- Download from VASS and print the required Performance Examination Program Sheets/Statements of Intention and Information Booklet. A copy should be given to students as required.
- Remind students of the student identification requirements for LOTE Oral and Arts Performance examinations.
1. PERFORMANCE / ORAL EXAMINATION ADVICE SLIPS
To produce the Student Advice slips use menu STUDENT PROGRAMS →VCE Reports →Performance/Oral Exam Advice Slips.
- Select the required study in the Study Field or leave as ALL.
- Select Advice Slips in the Report Type field. A summary report may also be produced for teachers and Coordinators by selecting Summary Report in the Report Type field.
- Assessing Schools including VSL’s and Single Study LOTE providers should select Yes in the Include Non Home School Students field

Schools should ensure that students present the entire Examination Advice slip to the Venue Coordinator on the day of their Performance/Oral Examination.

These documents can be downloaded through VASS using the menu SYSTEMS ADMIN →Downloads.
Enter the Key Word EXAM INFO and click on <Find>

Once the appropriate document has been downloaded, it should be printed and a copy MUST be given to students together with their Performance/Oral Examination Advice Slips.
3. REMINDER TO ALL PERFORMANCE TEACHERS AND STUDENTS
Student Identification Requirements for LOTE Oral and Arts Performance Examinations in 2009
1. All students undertaking a LOTE Oral and/or Arts Performance examination during the October examination period will be required to provide personal identification on entry to their examination.
2. The personal identification MUST consist of a clear photo of the student and their full name.
3. Most existing student identification cards or personal documents will be suitable for meeting this requirement, for example a school ID card, public transport ID card, passport or driver’s licence, as appropriate.
4. All students enrolled in the following examinations MUST be fully informed of this requirement prior to attending the examination centre:
- Dance Performance Examination
- Drama Performance Examination
- LOTE Oral Examination (except Ancient Greek and Latin)
- Music Performance: Group Performance Examination
- Music Performance: Solo Performance Examination
- Theatre Studies Performance Examination
- VET Dance Performance Examination
- VET Music Performance Examination
