VCAA Notice to Schools number 3/2010 contained information regarding modifications to VASS functions to accommodate the new VCAL program setup and enrolments procedures for 2010.
The modifications require all home schools to specify the providers delivering VCAL certificates or VCAL units to their students. Home schools are responsible for their students VCAL certificate and unit enrolments including those being studied with other schools/providers
The following VCAL enrolment scenarios are addressed.
The steps for setting up VCAL programs, enrolling students and producing reports are outlined below.
Schools are reminded that students may require to be enrolled into VET Certificates and/or VCE units as part of their VCAL certificate program. A Checklist of Important Steps for VASS Enrolments will assist VASS Administrators set up their VCE, VET and VCAL programs for 2010 may be downloaded in VASS using menu SYSTEM ADMIN → Downloads.

VASS Administrators and VCAL Coordinators should print a copy of the VCAL Quick Guide.
These Quick Guides are a valuable resource for all Coordinators and VASS Administrators in particular those new to these roles in 2010.
