Relationships between the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework Birth to 8 Years (VEYLDF) and the AusVELS

The VCAA is currently developing a Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework (VEYLDF) – AusVELS map in a phased approach that provides the key connections between the Melbourne Declaration, 5 learning and development Outcomes from the Early Years Learning Framework and the AusVELS.

AusVELS is a blended curriculum model that includes the VELS domains and first 4 learning areas of the Australian Curriculum – Maths, English, History and Science.  Links between the Outcomes and the remaining learning areas will be included in the document as they are developed.

This resource will provide a continuum for teaching and learning from birth and into the early years of school. It will support early childhood professionals working across birth to 8 years to work together and with families to achieve the outcomes for children.
