How to Apply for the VCE Achiever Award
Applications are now open for 2008
An electronic application should be completed by the
- Nominated student (Details Form, Student Application Form)
- School staff member (School Support Form, Principal’s signature on the Details Form)
- Community member (Community Endorsement Form)

- Each section should be completed with typed responses.
- Print and sign the application (electronic signatures will not be accepted).
- Mail to the VCAA.
- VCAA needs to receive application by the LAST week of the month.
Advice for teachers
- The selection panel will consider students for the month in which they are nominated. However, in months where competition is strong, the selection panel may decide to allow particularly worthy applicants to remain eligible for subsequent months. It is therefore a good idea to apply as early in the year as possible, to increase your student’s chances of being selected.
- Please nominate only one student from your school, as the selection panel will only consider one application per school per year.
- One student is selected for each of the months between March and October.
- Monthly finalists will be contacted by the VCAA for a brief interview about their achievements.
- Monthly finalists are announced in the Herald Sun newspaper and profiled in the VCAA Bulletin.
- Monthly finalists receive a three month subscription to the Herald Sun newspaper.
- All finalists receive their awards at a ceremony following the end of year examination period.
- One overall VCE Achiever is selected and that student is presented with a notebook computer donated by Lenovo (Australia & New Zealand) Pty. Ltd. at the ceremony.
