VCE Frequently Asked Questions - TeachersInformation for Teachers about VCE
How can I find the current accreditation status of VCE studies? You can see the accreditation period for each VCE study in its study design and on its webpage, which you can access via the VCE Studies index page. A summary of the accreditation status of all VCE studies is also available on page 19 of the February 2007 VCAA Bulletin (PDF - 436KB). How can I obtain VCE Study Designs?Study Designs for the current accreditation period of the VCE Study are available online from each of the VCE Study pages on this website. The Study Designs for the updated accreditation period will be published online in the first year of the accreditation period. You can buy the latest printed versions of Study Designs from Information Victoria. How can I obtain Assessment Handbooks/Assessment Guides for VCE studies? Each time a study is re-accredited VCAA will publish a print and an online version of Assessment Reports (formerly known as Assessment Guides). Printed Assessment Handbooks are no longer updated and distributed each year. If the VCAA updates an Assessment Handbook during the accreditation period of a study, only an online version of the updated handbook will be made available. Teachers should therefore check the VCAA website for the latest version of each Assessment Handbook. Visit the individual VCE Study pages to find recent updates to coursework material. How can I obtain other VCE publications? The VCAA publications Where To Now? and Return to Study are available in hard copy from:
Telephone: (03) 9651 4544, (03) 9651 4328 or 1800 134 197 (country callers) Or read the publications online: Printed versions of VCE Study Designs and the VCE and VCAL Administrative Handbook are available for purchase from Information Victoria. I would like to become an exam marker/assessor. How can I apply? The VCAA is now processing all sessional staff applications and appointments through our online Sessional Staff Management System (SSMS). If you are not registered to use SSMS, you will need to register on the system. To do so, send an email to assessment.administration.vcaa@edumail.vic.gov.au to get a Logon ID and password. Can my school use VCAA material in our publications?Teachers and schools can copy some material free for education purposes only. For other uses of the material (e.g. for commercial purposes), read the VCAA’s Copyright Policy. To request permission to use VCAA material, complete the Copyright Request form (PDF - 11KB).
