The Australian Curriculum, Assessment and Reporting Authority (ACARA) has released a draft of the Australian Curriculum: Geography F–12 for consultation. The draft Geography curriculum document is available to registered users of the Australian Curriculum website for comment until 29 February 2012: http://consultation.australiancurriculum.edu.au/
The Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority (VCAA) and the Geography Teachers Association of Victoria (GTAV) invite teachers of Geography in primary and secondary schools to attend a consultation session to provide feedback on the draft national Geography curriculum.
The feedback from these consultations will contribute to the Victorian response to the draft curriculum. This will assist the work of ACARA in shaping high quality final drafts of the Geography curriculum F–10 due for release in 2012.
