VCE Students Urged to be Patient when Accessing Results
13 December 2002
Students are asked to be patient when accessing VCE results and ENTERs on Monday, December 16.
The Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority (VCAA) and the Victorian Tertiary Admission Centre (VTAC) said students experiencing access difficulties should wait a few minutes before trying again to avoid overloading the system.
More than 50,000 VCE students are expected to receive results from 7am on Monday morning.
Students accessing results via the information phone line should hang up for 10 minutes if they cannot get through at first try.
Students having trouble accessing results via the Internet should log off if web access is slow, to avoid clogging up the system for others.
If students have not received their SMS message by 7.15am on Monday, their message will be stored on a database and sent automatically at the first available signal. SMS text messages that are long will be sent in two parts.
Students who send a request after 7am on Monday, December 16, will receive a text message reply of their results and ENTER almost instantaneously. When sending the request to 0421 26 2002 students must always use the correct combination of student number (no alphabetical letter), PIN and VCE Results Access Code (VCE results only).
