Since 1999 the Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority (VCAA) has recognised VCE students who are leaders in their schools and communities. This year these VCE Achiever Awards will be renamed VCE Leadership Awards.
In 2011 eight VCE students were selected for these awards after making application to the VCAA.
At a ceremony last December the Hon Martin Dixon, Minister for Education, presented certificates, trophies and prizes to these students. Lenovo Australia donated computer prizes to all the students and Patrick Clark from Bendigo Senior Secondary College received an overall prize of an X220 ThinkPad.
In 2012 teachers are invited to nominate worthy VCE students for VCE Leadership awards. Applications will be open from March; application forms will be available at the VCE Leadership page.
Read more about the ceremony in the February 2012 edition of the VCAA Bulletin at the Notices and Bulletins index page.
Applications for the 2012 VCE Leadership Awards are open. You can download the application form here.
