VCE Programs in China and other countries

The International Projects Unit of VCAA coordinates delivery of VCE Programs, Victorian curriculum and professional development for teachers and educators within Australia as well as in other countries.

The VCAA preferred model requires an offshore school and an established Victorian school to first form a partnership. The teachers of both schools cooperate to ensure the course being taught in Victoria is the same as the course taught offshore.

The VCE program in China offers a range of benefits:

  • Students in China are able to study the VCE without leaving their country.
  • The VCE program has several layers of quality assurance to ensure the integrity of the qualification for all students who study for the certificate.
  • Students are able to experience Victorian curriculum and teaching methodology.

Under licence from the VCAA, the VCE is currently taught at six schools in China:

  • TEDA International School, Tianjin, China (since February 2003)
  • Li Hui Li High School, Ningbo, Zhejiang Province (since January 2005)
  • Qingdao Number 19 High School, Shandong Province (since January 2006)
  • Nanjing Foreign Language School Xianlin Campus (since January 2006)
  • Shude High School, Chengdu, Shichuan Province (since January 2006)
  • Wuhan Foreign Language School, Wuhan, Hubei Province (since January 2007)
