The VCE Achiever Awards recognise the efforts of VCE students in promoting leadership and participation in their school and local community. VCE Achievers are students who demonstrate initiative, inspire others, work well in a team and are committed to making a difference. They take an interest in activities such as the arts, sport, debating and public speaking; they may campaign for social justice and environmental protection and/or raise funds for worthy causes.
The VCE Achiever Awards are open to government, Catholic and independent school students. Mature age students are also encouraged to apply for these awards. These awards are sponsored by Lenovo Australia who provide the overall winner with a notebook computer. Monthly finalists attend an end-of-year presentation where the year's winner will be announced.
Monthly finalists will receive a certificate, an engraved trophy and a three-month subscription to the Herald Sun. The finalists will also feature in profiles published in the VCAA Bulletin and the Learn section of the Herald Sun.
