Anne Taripu
My name is Anne Taripu. I am from Vanuatu and I am twenty-two years old. I come from a family of five people: my mother, father, two brothers and me. My journey through school has been unbelievable but moreover a blessing to myself and my family. I had the privilege to be chosen to study the same course as Australian children, the Victorian Certificate of Education. There are not many Vanuatu children who have had this kind of privilege.
I achieved an English Study Score of 41, which saw my name published in the ‘Herald Sun’ newspaper. This was big news in my small country. I have been awarded the Endeavour Scholarship 2008 towards an Advanced Diploma of Accounting. Now I am studying for my Advanced Diploma in Accounting at Kangan TAFE in Melbourne and I am very excited about the future.
