Qualifications

The following qualification is available as a VCE VET program:

  • LMT21707 Certificate II in Applied Fashion Design and Technology and selected units of competence from LMT31407 Certificate III in Applied Fashion Design and Technology

Note: The Units 3 and 4 sequence of VCE VET Applied Fashion Design and Technology is not designed as a stand-alone study. Students are strongly advised against undertaking the Units 3 and 4 sequence without first completing Units 1 and 2.

Credit in the VCE

Students who complete the VCE VET Applied Fashion Design and Technology program will be eligible for six units of credit towards their VCE: four units at Units 1 and 2, and a Units 3 and 4 sequence.

ATAR Contribution

Students who receive a Units 3 and 4 sequence for the VCE VET Applied Fashion Design and Technology program will be eligible for an increment towards their ATAR (10% of the average of the primary four scaled studies). The increment is awarded by the Victorian Tertiary Admissions Centre (VTAC). Further information can be found on the VTAC website: www.vtac.edu.au

The VCE VET Applied Fashion Design and Technology Program does not offer scored assessment.

Program updates and further information

  • Continuous improvement - During the life of the LMT07 Textiles, Clothing and Footwear Training Package there may be occasions when changes are made to reflect feedback from users or to include the latest industry practices. This process is called Continuous Improvement. When continuous improvement impacts of the VCE VET Applied Fashion Design and Technology program, advice will be published in the VCAA Bulletin VCE, VCAL and VET and links to these updates will be published on the VCE VET Applied Fashion Design and Technology page on the VCAA website.

 

New VCE VET programs are approved from time to time and are announced in the VCAA Bulletin VCE, VCAL and VET. The details for each of these programs are published by the Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority.
