Chemistry - Units 1 and 2
Professional development
Teacher Placement in Industry Program
Opportunities exist for chemistry teachers to spend one week working with scientists in emerging areas of science such as nanotechnology, drug design and green chemistry. Participation in the program will assist reaccredited Study Design implementation and the design of assessment tasks.

Accreditation period - Units 1 and 2: 2007-2011
The VCE Chemistry Study Design was reaccredited during 2005 for phased implementation. The reaccredited Study Design was sent to schools during Term 1 2006.
Chemistry Units 1 and 2 were reaccredited for implementation in 2007.
Chemistry Units 3 and 4 were reaccredited for implementation in 2008.
In 2007 schools should be teaching:
- Chemistry Units 1 and 2: 2007-2011 (below)
- Chemistry Units 3 and 4: 2000-2007
Principals have been asked to certify that all Chemistry teachers at their school are using the appropriate Study Design in 2007. VCAA Memorandum to Schools 8/2007.
