2. Teachers are advised that the footnotes on pages 54 and 71 of the VCE English/ESL Study Design should read:

Page 54, English:

  • *A sustained response should be approximately 900-1200 words.

  • **The length of shorter texts should reflect the form and purpose of the text and be approximately 1000-1500 words in total.

Page 71: ESL:

  • *The length of shorter texts should reflect the form and purpose of the text and be approximately 1000-1500 words in total.
