Chinese Second Language & Chinese Second Language Advanced
Errata - Study Design 2008-2010
Teachers are advised that there is an error in the reaccredited study design, to be implemented in 2008, on page 33, Unit 4 Outcome 1 for Chinese Second Language and Chinese Second Language Advanced.
The current outcome statement reads:
On completion of this unit the
student should be able to analyse and use information from written texts.
It should read:
On completion of this unit the student should be able
to analyse and use information from written texts, and translate part of the
text/s into English.
The above change should also be made to the outcome statements printed on pages 41 and 42 for Chinese Second Language and Chinese Second Language Advanced. The same change should also be made to the outcome statements printed in the Advice for teachers on page 62 of the study design.
Note: The key knowledge and skills for Unit 4 Outcome 1 on page 33 should also include the following dot point:
- translate from characters into English.
