Applications for approval

Alternative work

Students who wish to select a work other than those listed in this booklet should submit a proposal to the VCAA on the official Alternative Work application form for individual approval. Submission forms can also be requested by post from VCAA, 41 St Andrews Place, East Melbourne, 3002.

Submission forms must be returned to the VCAA by the due date. This date is published annually in the VCE and VCAL Administrative Handbook.

Alternative instruments

Students who wish to select an instrument other than those in the Prescribed list of notated solo works should submit a proposal to the VCAA on the official Alternative Instruments application form for approval. Submission forms can also be requested by post from VCAA, 41 St Andrews Place, East Melbourne, 3002.

Applications for approval

Applications for alternative instrument and work must be made for individual students, not groups of students. Applications must be made on an annual basis. Acceptance of a particular instrument and/or work for one student does not ensure automatic acceptance of that instrument and/or work for other students and/or in other years.
