Implementation workshops - Units 1 and 2: 2010-2014

The VCAA is working in partnership with the Australian Psychological Society (APS) to deliver implementation workshops to teachers on the newly accredited VCE Psychology Study Design Units 1 and 2: 2010-2014.

Accreditation period - Units 1 and 2: 2005-2009; Units 3 and 4: 2005-2010

Study Design covers 2006 - Psychology

The accreditation period for Psychology Units 1 and 2 ends on 31 December 2009.
The accreditation period for Psychology Units 3 and 4 has been extended until 31 December 2010.

Review

Psychology was reviewed in 2008 for phased implementation beginning in 2010.

The VCAA Board has determined that the revised VCE Psychology study be phased in over two years. Units 1 and 2 will commence in 2010 and Units 3 and 4 will commence in 2011. 

VCE Psychology Study Design Units 1 and 2: 2010-2014 and resource material

The Psychology Study Design (Units 1 and 2) and resource material are available to teachers in preparation for the implementation of Units 1 and 2 of the revised VCE Psychology study design in 2010. Workshops for teachers of Units 1 and 2 will be held in May 2009.

The print version of the full study design for VCE Psychology Study Design Units 1-4 will be available later in the year.

The Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority publishes administrative advice and regulations for the VCE in the VCE and VCAL Administrative Handbook 2009. Changes to advice and regulations occur during the year. The details of all such changes are published in the VCAA Bulletin and VCAA Bulletin P–10 on a regular basis. It is essential that VCE teachers familiarise themselves with advice and regulations in the VCE and VCAL Administrative Handbook and regularly check the VCAA Bulletin.
