VCAA Consultation
2012 is the final year for mid-year examinations
- The VCAA Board made the decision in November 2011 to move to a single end-of-year examination in the VCE sciences (Biology, Chemistry, Environmental Science, Physics and Psychology) and in VCE Accounting, in order to provide a more consistent examination structure across all VCE studies and in line with interstate practices. 2012 is the final year for mid-year examinations in these studies.
- The VCAA conducted an online consultation survey between 25 January and 15 February 2012 that sought teacher feedback on content modifications and possible consequential change to assessment weightings.
- In relation to specific issues raised in consultation, further feedback is now sought.
This survey is open from Monday 20 February until Monday 27 February 2012.
