Note: The Units 3 and 4 sequence of VCE VET Dance is not designed as a stand-alone study. Students are strongly advised against undertaking the Units 3 and 4 sequence without first completing Units 1 and 2.

The revised VCE VET Dance program drawn from 21764VIC Certificate II in Dance will be available as the VCE VET Dance program in 2008. Students who commenced the current VCE VET Dance program in 2007 drawn from 21078VIC Certificate II in Dance will be able to complete this qualification in 2008 under the arrangements outlined in the VCE VET Dance program booklet published in September 2000.

Credit in the VCE

Students who complete the Certificate II in Dance will be eligible for four units credit towards their VCE: two units at Units 1 and 2 and a Units 3 and 4 sequence.

ENTER Contribution

Students wishing to receive an ENTER contribution for the Units 3 and 4 sequence of VCE VET Dance must undertake scored assessment for the purpose of achieving a study score. This study score can contribute directly to the primary four or as a fifth or sixth study.

Scored Assessment

Students wishing to receive a study score for VCE VET Dance must undertake scored assessment. This consists of three coursework tasks, worth 50% of the overall study score and a performance examination, worth 50% of the overall study score.

Scored assessment in 2007 and 2008 is based on the Units 3 and 4 sequence of 21078VIC Certificate II in Dance.
