Enrolment status: new enrolments from 2012
The following qualifications are available in the VCE VET Sport and Recreation program for enrolment from 2012:
- SIS20210 Certificate II in Outdoor Recreation
- SIS20310 Certificate II in Sport and Recreation
- SIS30510 Certificate III in Sport and Recreation
Enrolment status: continuing enrolments in 2012 only
The following qualifications are available in the VCE VET Sport and Recreation program for students with a continuing enrolment in 2012:
- SRC20206 Certificate II in Community Recreation with selected units of competence from Certificate III
- SRO20206 Certificate II in Outdoor Recreation with selected units of competence from Certificate III
Note: The Units 3 and 4 sequence of VCE VET Sport and Recreation is not designed as a stand-alone study. Students are strongly advised against undertaking the Units 3 and 4 sequence without first completing Units 1 and 2.

Credit into the VCE for the new VCE VET Sport and Recreation program:
- Program 1: SIS20210 Certificate II in Outdoor Recreation: recognition of up to three units at Units 1 and 2 level
- Program 2: SIS20310 Certificate II in Sport and Recreation: recognition of up to three units at Units 1 and 2 level
- Program 3: SIS30510 Certificate III in Sport and Recreation: recognition of up to two units at Units 1 and 2 level and a Units 3 and 4 sequence.
Credit into the VCE for continuing students enrolled in the VCE VET Sport and Recreation program:
- Students who undertake a qualification from the VCE VET Sport and Recreation program will be eligible for up to five units of credit towards their VCE: up to three units at Units 1 and 2, and a Units 3 and 4 sequence.

Students wishing to receive an ATAR contribution for the Units 3 and 4 sequence must undertake scored assessment for the purposes of gaining a study score. This study score can contribute directly to the primary four or as a fifth or sixth study. A student who opts out of scored assessment in the VCE VET Sport and Recreation program will not be eligible for a contribution towards their ATAR.

In 2012, students wishing to receive a study score for VCE VET Sport and Recreation must undertake scored assessment in the Units 3 and 4 sequences of either:
- SRC20206 Certificate II in Community Recreation with selected units of competence from Certificate III
- SRO20206 Certificate II in Outdoor Recreation with selected units of competence from Certificate III
Scored assessment consists of three coursework tasks, worth 66% of the overall study score and an end of year examination, worth 34% of the overall study score.
From 2013, scored assessment will be available for Units 3 and 4 of the revised VCE VET Sport and Recreation program:
- SIS30510 Certificate III in Sport and Recreation.
Materials relating to scored assessment for the revised program will be published as a supplement to the VCAA Bulletin VCE, VCAL and VET in February 2013.

Continuous improvement - During the life of the SIS10 Sport, Fitness and Recreation Training Package there may be occasions when changes are made to reflect feedback from users or to include the latest industry practices. This process is called continuous improvement. When continuous improvement impacts on the VCE VET Sport and Recreation program, advice will be published in the VCAA Bulletin VCE, VCAL and VET and links to these updates will be published on the VCE VET Sport and Recreation page on the VCAA website.

New VCE VET programs are approved from time to time and are announced in the VCAA Bulletin VCE, VCAL and VET. The details for each of these programs are published by the Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority.
